The DAC

Musical performances came directly from the selected DAC.

Two years ago I tested different solution based on pci bus. M-AUDIO Audiophile 2496 was the more interesting but with an audio quality below my current cd-players. The Pioneer PD-S06 and the Marantz Cd 6000 OSE were unreachable! :-(

So I tested the usb-dacs. I choose the DDDAC1543MK2 at last. It's a modular project provided in kit.

Only change to the base kit are the output capacitors. I've selected the Mundorf M-Cap Supreme SILVER/OIL.

The dac is connected to the pc through an usb port.

Windows XP simply recognize the hardware as a new audio board.

RCA Connections to link the player to the amplifier.
